To warm up for a great ¡FIESTA Cubana ! party in the evening, we already give you the opportunity to join a Son Moderno bootcamp in the afternoon ! In this bootcamp, Cuban Salsa Leuven will explain how to understand the son timing, teach some partnerwork figures to use in your social dancing and create a choreo on a beautiful song. ⭐️ Son Moderno⭐️
The traditional Son Cubano is a genre of music and dance that originated in Cuba in the 1900's, it is the father of Salsa Cubana both in terms of music and dance. The traditional dance is expressing elegance and beauty with a nice connection between both partners. "Less is more" can also be a suitable description of this nice dance.
Maybe you are not realizing it yet, but many of the salsa songs you dance to are actually Son 
Son Moderno is an evolution of the traditional son through the structural integration of elements of different dances. It is a modernization, a transformation of the traditional Son to the modern times. This modernization is bringing new dynamics in the dance, adapting the traditional elegant dance to the modern music of nowadays.
