Troilee & Moisilee are the two young Sarod players of Senia-Maihar Gharana, popularly known as the “Sarod Sisters” in the fraternity of Indian Classical Instrumental Music. They both have learnt under the affectionate guidance of Pandit Kamal Mallick. Troilee also took
intensive taalim from Sitar virtuoso Pt. Sanjoy Bandopadhyay and now they are under the noble guidance of Sarod maestro Pt. Partho Sarathy.
“Sarod Sisters” have been started performing together since childhood. They have performed in many musical soirees & got the blessings from the stalwart musicians and audiences across the globe.
• They were invited in G20 Summit, 2023 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi to perform in front of honourable President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu, honourable Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi along with a number of world leaders including Mr. Joe Biden, honourable President of America, Mr. Rishi Sunak, honourable Prime Minister of Uk, all the present cabinet ministers and chief ministers of different states.
• They have performed at Iicc, Indian International Convention and Expo Centre,
Yashobhumi, Dwarka, New Delhi to perform in front of honourable Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi. Troilee & Moisilee both have individually got selected by the Govt. of India – Ministry of Culture for National Scholarship for their music. They received ‘Sangeet Ratna’ & ‘Sangeet Bivakar’ from Bangiyo Sangeet Parishad, respectively. Troilee is the Gold Medallist in M.A in Music from Rabindra Bharati University and received the degree of Doctorate in 2020. In 2009 she stood first in both the competitions organized by “The Dover Lane Music Conference & The Dover Lane Music Academy” and “Sri Aurobindo Institute of Culture”, Kolkata. She is now an All India Radio, Doordarshan (Indian National Television Broadcast Channel) and Spicmacay empanelled artist. Along with her music, Moisilee is also a senior research scholar working in the field of experimental physics in Jadavpur University, Kolkata.
Arup Sen Gupta doesn't need any introduction to Hindustani music lovers in Europe as he regularly performs with renowned Hindustani Musicians throughout Europe, India and the Us. Arup is considered to be one of the most sought after Tabla accompanists in Europe. He studied Tabla with Tabla
exponent Pandit Subhen Chatterjee from Kolkata (India) as well as with Subhenji's own Guru, the renowned and legendary Tabla Master Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri, who is considered to be one of the world top most Tabla players.
