The Rebetikon band was formed in Cologne, Germany in 2016.
The basic members (musical instruments) are:
Fevronia( voice, baglamas),
Epaminondas Ladas ( bouzouki, voice),
Giorgos Evangelou ( bouzouki, voice), ( guitar)
Dinos Bouzanis ( guitar)
A deep felt need to express musically the tradition of the Rebetiko way of life (early 20th century Greece and Asia Minor) led our band to turn to the exclusive musical paths of Rebetiko music.
Our aim is to convey Rebetiko music (Greek blues) with simplicity, devotion and respect to the original way of composition and performance in order to revive the authentic sound of the music of that era, almost 100 years after its birth.
