Asad Qizilbash and Sandip Banerjee- Indian raga concert sarod and tabla

Asad Qizilbash is the only recognized maestro in Pakistan on the sarode, the Indian fretless lute. He started playing the violin at the age of eight, and changed to the sarode as soon as he discovered this instrument. He has performed on many festivals in Pakistan and abroad, and has given numerous concerts on Tv, radio and much more. He is a spiritual son of Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, to whom he owes much inspiration for his musical style.

An All India Radio Grade A Artist, Sandip Banerjee is playing tabla since 1973. He is well known for his graceful accompaniment and powerful adept solo performance. He is an enlisted artist in Iccr( Indian Council for Cultural Relation) in professional category and Spic Macay. He has several Cds with different artists in India and abroad. His book on learning Tabla titled ‘Le Tabla’ has been published from id Music, France. This book is also available in English now. A rare combination of talent, dedication and good sensibilities have brought Sandip to the top of his art. Lovers of Indian Classical music around the world will continue to be enthralled by this first class mature and powerful performing artist now and in the years to come.
