J in us on October 8 in Club9 Koersel for an incredible releaseshow – where Gallia will introduce their new full length cinematic album to the public ! This evening promises you a show of epic quality, where you’ll be taken to a new world and go on adventures with the band where magic and mystery are always around the corner.
This album has been 3 years in the making, perfecting every part of it until ultimate epicness is reached. This year, Obscura will be ready for the public. The album has noticeable influences from symphonic metalbands such as Nightwish, Epica and Xandria but also the theatricality of big composers such as Hans Zimmer and Danny Elfman. This combination is a recipe for greatness and will take listeners on a quest through a new found world.

    
Obscu a will build on the story that was set in place by ep Everflame (released in ). Everflame was about the band’s fight against the dark. As long as the fire was burning, there would be hope. It was the band’s duty to keep the flame going, this task was trusted upon them by an ancient Goddess. So they worked hard, during all those years, to keep the fire going and to keep the demons away. At times it was hard, and it felt like the flame would die out. Doubt and trouble crept into their minds, but as long as they stayed together, they would keep the fire going.
Obscura will tell the story of the band finishing their duty with the Everflame and returning to a life of freedom, and finding a different world than the one they left behind. Feeling lost, they set out on travels to rediscover this new world. Every song tells a new part of the world they discover, a much darker world than they had left behind.

The evening starts with a show of the incredible symphonic metalband from Ghent: @worldsbeyondofficial. In they released their successful debut album Symphony Of Dawn. “Symphony of Dawn” explores that feeling of wonder and excitement you had as a child, the likes of which you still chase today. The glitter in your eyes, the unbridled fantasy and power of imagination, the never-ending search for beauty… An epic sound with emotion-filled songs.
